So lovely to welcome you here and with a fond hello let me introduce myself. Im Gabrielle, a photographer, movie buff, hot chocolate guzzling Harry Potter fan based in Belfast N.Ireland. I live with my incredibly talented wife Dearbhaile, who is a fantastic videographer and our pup Cleo, who is a great eater and lover of other peoples dinner.
I have been a keen photographer for most of my life, my favourite moments as a teen were leaving films in to be developed and anticipating all the gorgeous images I captured only to discover a lot of cut off heads, bad film and light flares ruining the final product. Ironically its the things I love the most about my photography now. The moments in-between, the perfect imperfections. Because life is just that. Random and uncontrolled.
I understand my role behind the camera, floating seamlessly through your day while capturing the reality of your surroundings. For you, it’s easy to be in front of it, as I become a friend, confidante, bridesmaid, cheerleader, sister and guide. I have seen it all, the high intensity of family, a dress tearing, someone shouting (way too early) that the cars have arrived, the veil caught up with the wind, a flower girl getting nervous at the last moment, the realisation that the wedding certificate is still waiting comfortably at home and other such stories that may make it to my memoirs one day.
But for now its all about you. I am incredibly grateful that you are here reading this as it means there’s something about my work that has drawn you in and that is a feeling I want to bottle up forever.
